AROUND THE GLOBE

Kevin “Special K” Daley’s heart is the size of one of the basketballs he bandies about. The good-natured Harlem Globetrotters showman (pictured with Scooter Christensen) -- who has gone one-on-one with his childhood hero Michael Jordan -- knows the importance of being a positive role model for fans. “The kids tell me that when we’re through with the show they go home and try to do everything we do in the game for at least three weeks,” he says with a laugh. Catch the Southland leg of the Globetrotters’ current “Magic as Ever” World Tour as they clash comically with their hard-luck rivals the Washington Generals. 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sat., Honda Center, Anaheim; 1 p.m. Sun., Staples Center, downtown L.A. $16-$147. www.harlem globetrotters.com
