Re “From the mouths of babes,” Opinion, Aug. 16

Meghan Daum has horribly misjudged the significance of this issue.

The concern should not be whether the Chinese used a “discriminating ear” to display the “best voice” but rather the consequences that could be suffered by anyone refusing to cooperate with this glorified dog-and-pony show.
