Al Gore -- A Sept. 22 letter about Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich’s campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination said that if Al Gore ran for president, it would be Gore’s second attempt. In fact, it would be his third, because Gore also sought the 1988 Democratic nomination.
