Weak argument

Re “Voting rights, achieved,” Opinion, Sept. 15
Edward Blum is about as disingenuous as the Bush administration’s Justice Department and its pursuit of voter fraud cases -- cases that seem, strangely, to target brown-skinned people and people tending to vote for the Democratic (not Democrat) Party.
Perhaps it is time to seriously consider letting the Voting Rights Act Section 5 expire. But Blum’s argument is not the one to follow. Especially considering that he is a visiting fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and obviously a Republicon.
