The wild and woolly Falklands
Diana Lejins of Long Beach begged her driver to stop so she could get this shot of a pair of sheepherders, one sporting a jaunty red cap, and their charges on a wind-swept plain in the Falkland Islands in January. Lejins was on a six-week land and cruise tour of South America, the last continent she needed to bring her tally to seven. Traveling is Lejins’ passion. “There’s nothing on God’s Earth I love more,” she said. She used a Nikon D50 to get this shot.
