A mother furious that her son was suspended from school for fighting allegedly stabbed him repeatedly with a pair of scissors.
Kimberly Howie, 41, of Victorville was arrested and booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after the 14-year-old was stabbed in the arms and back, said Karen Hunt of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Bail was set at $50,000.
The boy was treated at a hospital and released to his grandparents.
When deputies arrived at the Howie home late Wednesday, they found the mother in her car preparing to flee, Hunt said. The boy had been suspended earlier in the day, and he and his mother were arguing before the stabbing, Deputy John Rodriguez said.
