* at Tennessee 27, No. 15 South Carolina 24: Daniel Lincoln kicked a 48-yard field goal with five seconds left to tie the score at Knoxville, then provided the only points in overtime to give the Volunteers (5-3, 3-2) the victory over the Gamecocks (6-3, 3-3), who charged back from a 21-0 deficit to take a 24-21 lead.

* at No. 23 Auburn 17, Mississippi 3: Brandon Cox threw a 34-yard scoring pass to Rod Smith in the final minutes and Brad Lester rushed for a career-high 96 yards to help lead the Tigers (6-3, 4-2) to a decisive victory over the Rebels (2-7, 0-6) at Auburn, Ala.

* at Vanderbilt 24, Miami (Ohio) 13: The Commodores (5-3), who have not played in the postseason since 1982, trailed, 13-10, midway through the third quarter but gave up only 86 yards after that at Nashville. The RedHawks (4-5) rushed for only 26 yards.

* at Arkansas 58, Florida International 10: Darren McFadden scored on four short runs at Fayetteville and the Razorbacks (5-3) took advantage of seven turnovers by the Golden Panthers (0-8), who lost their 20th in a row. McFadden, last year’s Heisman Trophy runner-up, rushed for 61 yards.
