* Charlotte 90, at Miami 88: Jason Richardson scored 29 points and Charlotte wasted a 16-point fourth-quarter lead before rallying to drop the Heat to 0-3. Miami’s Shaquille O’Neal avoid a third straight single-digit game with 17 points. A 21-5 Miami run tied it at 86-86 with 1:04 left before Raymond Felton’s two free throws put the Bobcats ahead for good.
* at Phoenix 103, Cleveland 92: Steve Nash had 30 points and 10 assists and the Suns -- playing without Amare Stoudemire (sore knee) -- rallied from a 12-point second-quarter deficit. Nash had 22 of his points in the second half. The Cavaliers had 22 turnovers, leading to 21 Phoenix points. LeBron James had 27 points for Cleveland.
* New Orleans 93, at Denver 88: David West missed his first eight shots but made two crucial baskets in the fourth quarter and finished with 17 points to help the Hornets improve to 3-0. Allen Iverson scored 23 points for Denver (2-1) and Carmelo Anthony added 20, but they were a combined 16 for 49 from the field.
* at New York 97, Minnesota 93: Jamal Crawford scored 10 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to help the Knicks win their home opener for the first time in six years. Tied at 81-81, Crawford’s jumper gave New York the lead for good. Ryan Gomes scored 19 points for the Timberwolves, who had won four in a row and 10 of their last 12 against the Knicks.
* at Detroit 92, Atlanta 91: Chauncey Billups made a free throw with 1.7 seconds left to complete the Pistons’ comeback from a nine-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter. Billups finished with 22 points and Richard Hamilton added 21. The Hawks’ Josh Smith had tied the score at 91-91 with three free throws after being fouled by Rasheed Wallace on a three-point shot.
* Boston 98, at Toronto 95: Ray Allen surpassed 17,000 points by finishing with 33 points, including the winning three-point shot, for the Celtics in overtime. Allen, who has 17,004 points, made 11 of 16 shots.
* at Clippers 115, Seattle 101: Corey Maggette led six Clippers in double figures with 27 points. Rookie Kevin Durant scored 24 points on 10-for-19 shooting for Seattle.
* at Lakers 119, Utah 109: Kobe Bryant scored six of his 33 points in the final 4 1/2 minutes after blocking an attempted dunk by Andrei Kirilenko in the Lakers’ victory.
