An executive jet crashed in a heavily populated neighborhood of Sao Paulo, killing at least eight people and turning homes into smoky rubble just months after the city was the site of Brazil’s deadliest air disaster.
The plane, a Learjet 35, belonged to Brazilian air taxi company Reali Taxi Aereo. The craft carried no passengers, but the pilot and copilot died, along with at least six people on the ground, public and company officials said.
On July 17, a TAM jetliner skidded off a runway in Sao Paulo, killing 199 people.
