AT&T;’s BellSouth Buy May Win FCC Approval

AT&T; Inc.’s $67-billion purchase of BellSouth Corp. is likely to be approved by the Federal Communications Commission, sources said.
FCC Chairman Kevin J. Martin has asked other commissioners to approve the purchase without conditions, sources said, adding that Martin circulated a draft order Thursday night and that the FCC might vote Oct. 12.
