Boy, 13, on Bicycle Collides With Car, Dies

A 13-year-old died Friday after the bicycle he was riding collided with a car at Michelson Drive and Butler Street.
Neither the boy, who was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, nor the driver, a 53-year-old Irvine woman, was identified by police.
The cause of the accident, which occurred shortly before 9 a.m., is under investigation, said Det. Jonathan Cherney of the Irvine Police Department.
