Man Walking on I-5 Ramp Is Struck, Killed

A 25-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car early Saturday on a freeway offramp, officials said. The man’s identity was being withheld, pending notification of relatives.
He was hit shortly before 3:30 a.m. on the Avenida Calafia offramp from the southbound Interstate 5, officials said. They said they didn’t know why he was there.
