L. Dennis Kozlowski, former chief executive of Tyco International Ltd., agreed to pay $21.2 million to settle a New York state tax case related to his grand larceny conviction for looting the company.
The amount covers sales taxes that Kozlowski owed on the purchase of artworks, as well as money he owed for state income taxes, according to defense lawyer James DeVita and Assistant Dist. Atty. Ann Donnelly. The sales tax case began as a criminal prosecution.
