After 64 days of walking, skiing, climbing, swimming and dodging polar bears, a Norwegian and a South African reached the North Pole, pulling supplies on sleds that initially weighed 300 pounds, their team said in Oslo.
Mike Horn, 39, of South Africa, and Borge Ousland, 43, set off from Cape Artichesky in Russia to make the 620-mile trek without outside supplies or dog teams. They completed the trek Thursday.
