From Times Wire Reports
Bird flu has killed five young people in Azerbaijan, the World Health Organization said in Geneva. It was investigating whether some victims could have been infected while collecting feathers from dead swans.
Confirmation of the deaths in Azerbaijan takes the WHO death toll to 103 since the virus reemerged in late 2003.
Four of those who died were from a settlement in the southeastern region of Salyan. Three were related and the fourth was a close friend. The fifth victim came from Tarter in the west.
