BASEBALL

* Ryan Ackland, Anaheim Esperanza: Pitched the third no-hitter in school history in a 4-0 Sunset League victory over visiting Fountain Valley, ranked No. 19 by The Times.

* Brett Schaeffing, Quartz Hill: Had a pair of home runs, including a grand slam, as the Rebels outlasted Palmdale, 16-13, in the Knight tournament final.

* Bryant Hernandez, Ventura St. Bonaventure: Hit a triple in the eighth inning to drive in the winning run and end Napa Justin-Siena’s 43-game winning streak with a 3-2 intersectional victory.

SOFTBALL

* Katelyn Miller, Camarillo: Drove in the winning run in the eighth inning of a 1-0 victory over Lompoc Cabrillo in the championship game and had a grand slam and six RBIs in an 11-0 victory over Santa Maria St. Joseph in pool play of the Lompoc Cabrillo tournament.

* Allison Clark, Hesperia: Struck out 27 batters and gave up no runs and three hits in victories over Mojave, 6-0, and Santa Clarita Golden Valley, 5-0, in Highland tournament play. She also had two doubles and a single with an RBI against Golden Valley.

* Ronnie Alvardo, Ontario Christian: Had three home runs and five RBIs to help the Knights claim first place in their own tournament with a 10-2 victory over Montclair.
