Nine teenagers suffered minor injuries Saturday morning in a collision of three church-group buses and a car on the Pomona Freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The buses were traveling in a line when the first stopped suddenly to avoid a stalled car, triggering the accident. One bus was pushed into the next lane, striking a car.
Six of the injured teenagers, three of whom were extricated from the wreckage by firefighters, were taken to hospitals.
The buses were traveling from St. John’s Church in Rubidoux to the Los Angeles Convention Center, the CHP said.
