Blaze Destroys $5,000 in After-School Equipment

A fire late Wednesday destroyed $5,000 worth of after-school equipment at Emmerton Elementary School, according to the San Bernardino City Unified School District.
The blaze, believed to be the work of an arsonist, razed a shed containing sports gear, art supplies, games and toys, the district said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call school police at (909) 388-6030 or leave an anonymous tip at (909) 388-6043. Anyone interested in making a donation to replace the equipment can call the school at (909) 388-6522.
