Death Toll Reaches 76 in Building Collapse

Hundreds of men using cranes, hand tools and blowtorches pulled bodies from the rubble of a four-story building that collapsed in Mecca, and Saudi authorities said the death toll had grown to at least 76.
The disaster marred Monday’s start of the annual hajj pilgrimage. More than 1 million attended Friday prayers in the Grand Mosque.
