Health Net Posts Profit as Premiums Increase

Health insurer Health Net Inc. of Woodland Hills posted a fourth-quarter profit as premiums increased.
Revenue rose 2.9% to $2.95 billion from $2.87 billion. Net income was $76.7 million, or 65 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $85.6 million, or 77 cents, a year earlier, when the company took large charges mostly for settling disputes with hospitals.
Shares of Health Net declined $1.04 to $48.33.
