What Do Floyd, Marion and T.J. Share?

Now that the “B” test has confirmed the presence of synthetic steroids in his system, I guess the lie has been put to Floyd Landis’ explanation that his body just seems to naturally produce lots of testosterone.

Funny, but the only time in the five-week race that his system just naturally produced excessive testosterone and produced a failed drug test was the day he made up a huge deficit to essentially wrap up the Tour De France. Coincidence? I think not.

After her performance at the London Grand Prix, Marion Jones is quoted as saying in reference to the cheers she experienced, “I believe that was because people know the truth.”
How can any of us possibly know the truth? The circumstantial evidence surrounding Jones is formidable if not overwhelming: former husband C.J. Hunter suspended for doping while married to Jones, a check for $10,000 written to BALCO from Jones’ personal account, her partner Tim Montgomery suspended for doping, testimony by both C.J. Hunter and Victor Conte that Jones used performance-enhancing drugs, former coach Trevor Graham a key figure in the BALCO scandal. Add to all this Justin Gatlin’s failed drug test and how can anyone believe that today’s world-class track athlete competes without the use of performance-enhancing drugs?

While T.J. Simers was taking another potshot at horse racing and Jeff Mullins, the results of the analysis on Mr. Simers’ blood sample were announced. Scientists reviewing the sample found that Simers had extremely low levels of brain matter and writing ability, while, at the same time, very abundant levels of fat, idiocy and a rare chemical that causes the mouth to run without the aid of the brain.
As a result of the test, there is no question that Mr. Simers, like all enemies of horse racing, can now be officially certified as a dope, something your readers have known for a very long time.

There once was a cyclist named Floyd
With whose T/E levels he toyed.
He won big in France
But unlike Lance
His title may be null and void.
