Firefighters Contain Blaze at 2,500 Acres

Firefighters have contained a 2,500-acre wildfire that broke out over the weekend in northern Los Angeles County, officials said Sunday.
The fire, which started Saturday, destroyed a mobile home, two vehicles, and two outbuildings and forced the closure of an 18-mile stretch of Interstate 5. One firefighter was taken to the hospital after being injured by a falling rock, said Ron Haralson, a county fire inspector. “We’re in the mopping-up stage,” said county fire dispatcher Rey Dong.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
