Jay-Z’s lawsuit thrown out

A judge in New York has thrown out the countersuit that rap star Jay-Z filed against R&B; singer R. Kelly in the wake of their ill-fated tour last year, MTV.com reported Tuesday.

The pairing of the two had been one of the most anticipated tours of the fall concert season, but it dissolved after Kelly walked off stage during a show at Madison Square Garden in New York. He subsequently filed a $75-million breach-of-contract suit against Jay-Z. The rapper then filed his countersuit, saying Kelly was to blame for the mess.
