Driver Dies When Car Leaves Road, Hits a Tree

A motorist was killed early Saturday when he drove into a tree, officials said.
Randy Duran, 31, of Irvine was driving westbound on Irvine Boulevard near Pusan Way about 3:30 a.m. when his car went off the road.
Duran, alone in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
