A trailer filled with about $8,000 worth of camping equipment for a Boy Scout outing was stolen from a driveway early Thursday, according to police.
Parked in the 600 block of Helena Street, the 6-by-10-foot trailer was taken between midnight and 5 a.m., police said.
It contained cooking equipment, tents and coolers to be used by 150 boys and their fathers on an outing in Brea this weekend, said Doug Hampton, the leader of Boy Scout Troop 1155.
