Basketball Games Highlight Holiday

Riverside King and Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos will host all-day events for boys’ and girls’ basketball today in celebration of Martin Luther King Day.
Though King will be the site of seven boys’ games and Los Osos the site of four boys’ and four girls’ games, the marquee matchup of the day might be Fullerton Troy, ranked third in the Southland by The Times, playing No. 13 San Clemente at San Clemente at 7 p.m.
Three ranked girls’ teams will play at Los Osos, with No. 2 Norco taking on No. 17 Etiwanda at 3 p.m. and No. 25 Los Osos playing Bonita at 4:30 p.m.
Games at Los Osos begin at 9 a.m. with Chino Hills facing La Puente Bishop Amat in a boys’ game and concludes with Ontario playing Los Osos in a boys’ game at 7:30 p.m.
Play at King begins at 10:10 a.m. with Moreno Valley Rancho Verde playing Las Vegas Bishop Gorman and ends with No. 5 Lynwood playing Moreno Valley Canyon Springs at 8:10 p.m.
Other events include the Orange County All-Star wrestling tournament at Laguna Hills; the Ramona Classic girls’ basketball tournament at Perris and the Newhall Hart boys’ and girls’ soccer tournaments.
