Jury Selection in Jackson Trial Delayed

Jury selection for Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial was postponed for a week on Monday because of a death in the family of the pop star’s lead defense attorney.
Santa Barbara County Superior Court Judge Rodney S. Melville rescheduled questioning of prospective jurors for Feb. 14.
The court had canceled Monday’s scheduled questioning late Friday, saying that a sister of attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr. was gravely ill.
Another defense attorney, Brian Oxman, said Mesereau’s sister had died.
