From Times Wire Reports
The lead detective assigned to investigate Laci Peterson’s disappearance backed up a key defense theory Monday that the pregnant schoolteacher had planned to walk the couple’s dog the morning she vanished.
Defense attorney Mark Geragos also used the prosecution witness to attempt to show that she knew about her husband’s relationship with massage therapist Amber Frey. Prosecutors allege that the affair was Scott Peterson’s motive for killing his wife on or about Dec. 24, 2002, in their Modesto home.
