Foundation cites female writers

Six emerging writers will each receive $10,000 from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, which annually gives out awards to “women writers of talent and promise in the early stages of their writing careers.”
This year’s winners were announced Tuesday by the Jaffe foundation, which will present the awards at a Sept. 30 ceremony. The winners: poets Sharan Strange, Tracy K. Smith and Dana Levin; fiction writers Carin Clevidence and Ann Harleman; and nonfiction writer Michele Morano.
