Two Mexico City police officers were among 29 people charged with homicide in the mob killings of two federal agents who were set on fire in the nearby town of San Juan Ixtayopan, federal authorities said.
Deputy Atty. Gen. Gilberto Higuera said the suspects had been taken to a lockup in northern Mexico City.
Townspeople who feared the victims were kidnappers attacked them Tuesday as they took pictures near an elementary school.
