Today is Thanksgiving Day. The following schedule will be in effect in the Inland Empire and L.A. County.
Riverside County
Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, UC Riverside, Riverside Community College, College of the Desert, Mt. San Jacinto College or Palo Verde College.
Banks: Banks will be closed.
Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.
Libraries: County and city libraries will be closed.
Public transportation: Riverside Transit Agency buses will not run, and no service will be provided by Sunline transit agency. Metrolink trains will have a special Thanksgiving schedule. Details: (800) 371-LINK (5465) or www.metrolinktrains.com.
Trash collection: Trash will not be collected. Pickup will be delayed a day.
Government: City, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.
San Bernardino County
Schools: No classes will be held at public schools, Loma Linda University, Cal State San Bernardino, Crafton Hills College, Barstow Community College or the University of Redlands.
Banks: Banks will be closed.
Mail: There will be no mail delivery, and post offices will be closed.
Libraries: County and city libraries will be closed.
Public transportation: Omnitrans and Victorville Transit buses will not run. Metrolink trains will have a special Thanksgiving schedule. Details: (800) 371-LINK (5465) or www.metrolinktrains.com.

Los Angeles County
Transportation: MTA buses and trains will follow their altered Sunday schedules today. The Los Angeles County transit system will return to its regular weekday schedule Friday.
Government: City, county, state and federal offices and public schools will be closed today and Friday. Libraries and post offices also are closed today.
Trash: Residents whose pickup day is Thursday or Friday will have their trash picked up a day later.
