* Jared Clark, Valencia: Pitched a five-hitter, striking out 11, and Wes Pascolla and Richard Cadena each hit a home run in the fifth inning for the No. 4 Vikings in a 4-1 Foothill League victory over visiting Newhall Hart.
* Bobby Lafromboise, Downey Warren: Threw a five-hitter with 13 strikeouts, best in his career, and Kyle Saul was four for four with a triple and three runs scored for the No. 23 Bears in a 6-4 San Gabriel Valley League win over Paramount.
* Shaunt Bedrosian, Encino Crespi: Singled in Michael Gilmartin with two out and the bases loaded in the seventh inning for the No. 3 Celts in a 4-3 Mission League victory over North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake.
SOFTBALL
* Dana Crucil, Orange El Modena: Pitched a four-hitter and had three hits, and Natasha Madjd hit the go-ahead home run in the fourth inning for the No. 20 Vanguards in a 2-1 Century League victory No. 20 Placentia El Dorado.
* Brittany Weil and Brittanie Sodal, Garden Grove Pacifica: Weil struck out 10, and Sodal scored the game’s only run in the fourth inning for the No. 2 Mariners in a 1-0 Garden Grove League win over Garden Grove, which suffered its second loss of the season.
* Amy Pilkington, Thousand Oaks: Had a run-scoring triple and scored the winning run on Genna Allen’s groundout with two out in the bottom of the ninth for the No. 15 Lancers in a 2-1 Marmonte League victory over Newbury Park.
* Katie Schifician, Fullerton Rosary: Was two for three with three runs scored and two runs batted in, and Taylor Peyton pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts for the No. 14 Royals in an 8-0 Serra League victory over visiting Lakewood St. Joseph.
BOYS’ TENNIS
* Jon Vlasach and Chance Finley, Redondo: Swept, 6-4, 6-1, 6-1, in No. 1 doubles for the No. 7 Sea Hawks in a 11-7 Ocean League victory at West Torrance.
* Wesley Miller and Spencer Reitz, Corona del Mar: Each swept his singles sets for the No. 1 Sea Kings in a 12-6 Pacific Coast League victory at Rancho Santa Margarita Tesoro.
