San Clemente Crash Kills 1

One man died and a woman was injured Thursday night in a crash on the Coast Highway in San Clemente.
The collision between an sport utility vehicle and a pickup occurred about 7:30 p.m. on the highway at Camino Capistrano, said Lt. Hayward Miller, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver of the truck was declared dead at the scene, Miller said. The SUV’s driver was taken to a hospital. The woman’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
No information about the victims was available.
