Apple Sues to Stop OS X Release on Internet

Apple Computer Inc. sued three software developers, claiming that they distributed unreleased versions of its OS X computer operating system on the Internet.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in San Francisco last week, seeks to stop illegal distribution of Apple products over the Web. It follows a similar suit filed in California state court earlier in the month.

Apple shares fell 85 cents to $63.16 on Nasdaq.
