A Divorce of Cultures

Aizita Magana’s “Torn Asunder by 9/11” (Opinion, April 11), on her decision to divorce her Muslim husband, is a wonderful example of courage in how she took herself out of an endless religion conflict. Muslims in America must show that they are here as part of the American society and not as a foreign conspiracy whose aim is to destroy the American way of life.
Magana’s writing and action are an important example to many in similar situations who need to act decisively in preventing a huge crisis before having children. Let me extend my best wishes to her for a brighter future and happiness.
