Turning a deaf ear

Wonderful to see Scott Timberg’s “Salvaging Shelved Classics” (March 21). I’ve tried for 25 years to get the Phoenix Symphony to play Brian, Braga Santos, Tubin, Tournemire, Klami and American composers like Vincent and Hadley -- all to no avail. And then they wonder why I haven’t attended a symphony concert in the past 15 years.
Orchestra management just cannot make the necessary connection.
