A man was struck and killed Friday evening after he got out of his car to inspect the damage from a fender bender on the 91 Express Lanes in Anaheim, authorities said.
The victim’s identity was unknown, said Stacy Willits, a spokeswoman for the California Highway Patrol.
The man was hit about 7:45 p.m. in the westbound toll lanes near Lakeview Avenue. After the fender bender, which involved four cars, “somebody got out of his vehicle, probably to check the damage, and he got hit,” Willits said.
The incident was still under investigation.
