1.9% Growth in Mexico Slower Than Expected

Mexico’s economy expanded a slower-than-expected 1.9% in the fourth quarter as a weak recovery in the United States, the country’s largest trading partner, capped growth in manufacturing and exports.
The economy expanded 0.9% in 2002, less than the government’s 1.7% growth target, the Finance Ministry said.
