Bill Seeks to Curb Asbestos Injury Claims

Legislation aimed at curbing asbestos lawsuits has been introduced in the Senate just days after a call for action by the American Bar Assn., a senator’s spokeswoman said.
Senate Budget Committee Chairman Don Nickles (R-Okla.) introduced the bill. It would limit asbestos-related personal injury claims by setting medical criteria, among other measures.
