$25,000 Reward Offered in Slaying of Teenager

A $25,000 reward was offered Tuesday for the killer of a 17-year-old boy.
Police and relatives held a news conference near Western and Vernon avenues, where Donovan William Simmons was killed, to announce the reward. Simmons was sitting on a guardrail at a gas station about noon on March 31 when someone in a passing car shot him.
The Los Angeles Police Department is asking anyone with information to call Dets. Rocky Sato or C. Adams at (213) 485-4175 or, after hours, at (877) 529-3855.
