Going by the Book

I think Winona Ryder got a bum rap. Ernest Heyneman, who stole more than $10,000 worth of public library books and tapes, was ordered by the court to return the books, stay away from all local libraries and turn over his library card (“Judge Bans Book Thief, 85, From Libraries,” Nov. 13). If justice were equal, Ryder would have been asked to return the stolen goods, stay away from Saks Fifth Avenue stores in the future and turn over her charge card.
