Former Agent Sues Kings

The former agent for Detroit Piston forward Corliss Williamson sued the Sacramento Kings for $10 million for allegedly reneging on a secret deal to circumvent the NBA salary cap.
The suit was filed Tuesday by Elbert Crawford in California Superior Court in Los Angeles.
The suit alleges that in 1999 the Kings promised Williamson a seven-year contract worth at least $50 million if he’d play one season for $500,000. Williamson agreed, but the team then withdrew its secret offer, the suit said.
