“Hopscotch, the Tiny Bunny”
by Stephanie Calmenson
Hopscotch is a tiny bunny. He has 10 brothers and sisters. One day the little bunnies were playing hide-and-go-seek and they went off without him. The next day when he woke up, he saw a giant cat. Someone said, “Hurry, follow my voice.” It turned out to be a field mouse, and they became friends because they were just the same size. They played everything together until they started to miss their families. At the end, the mouse and bunny families try to find them. Read the book to find out how it ends.

“Math Rashes and Other
Classroom Tales”
by Douglas Evans
This book has lots of silly tales in it. For example, there is a boy who loves to draw doodles. One day while he is inside the classroom, his doodles come off of the paper and offer to do his schoolwork. He is surprised at first, but he accepts the doodles’ help. But they start doing tomorrow’s work, too, and he can’t stop them, so he erases the doodles. It is a really funny book. I bet you will like it.

“The Very Clumsy Click Beetle”
by Eric Carle
The book is about the little click beetle that didn’t know how to flip on its feet. So then he met a wise old beetle who taught him.
The lesson I learned is that I have to try many times when I learn something new, like riding a bike.
