34 Killed When Train Pushes Bus Into Canal

An Indian train crashed into a bus at a rail crossing, hurtling it into a canal and killing 34 people who had been aboard, police said.
At least 26 others were injured in the accident in Uttar Pradesh state in the north of the country.
The powerful blow of the passenger train threw the bus 200 yards into a canal, a police official said. Initial reports implicated the gatekeeper at the rail crossing.
