Jaywalker Is Hit, Killed on Beach Boulevard

A Stanton man died early Wednesday after he was hit by a car while crossing Beach Boulevard, police said.
Richard Martinez, 58, died about 1:30 a.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Police said Martinez was jaywalking across Beach Boulevard near Pacific Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.
No charges were filed against the driver, who was not identified, pending an investigation.
