The 160-foot-high Tower Bridge is getting a new coat of paint, and Sacramento-area residents will get to choose the color.
Starting Wednesday, residents within a 35-mile radius of the capital can vote online or by phone for the next color scheme.
The choices are burgundy, silver and gold; green, silver and gold; or all gold. The winning choice will be announced Feb. 4.
“It hasn’t been painted for 25 years, so what we pick today will last a long time,” said Jody Lonergan, Caltrans District 3 director.
Sacramento Mayor Heather Fargo said she’ll vote for gold.
