Assistant Police Chief to Retire After 30 Years

Oxnard’s assistant chief of police will retire Tuesday after 30 years with the department.
A retirement dinner for Stan Myers, the head of the department’s investigative division, will be Jan. 11. Tickets may be purchased by calling the department at 385-7761.
Myers will be replaced by Cmdr. Charles Hookstra, a 25-year department veteran.
