A personal aide and driver for Gov.-elect Ed Rendell was released on his own recognizance after being charged with heroin possession and reckless endangerment. He is due in court Feb. 13 for a hearing on the misdemeanors.
Charles Breslin, 45, was pulled over Monday for driving erratically outside a Veterans Affairs hospital in Philadelphia. Police said a syringe, heroin and a prescription anti-anxiety drug were found in the car. “It’s a tragedy for him,” said Rendell, the former Philadelphia mayor.
