CLU to Unveil Plans for Sport Facilities at Festival

Cal Lutheran University will hold its Field of Dreams Family Festival on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The university’s plans for new baseball and soccer fields, an aquatic center and an 88,000-square-foot events center that will house two gymnasiums, a fitness center and other facilities will be unveiled at the festival.
The baseball field will be named in honor of Thousand Oaks resident George “Sparky” Anderson, a former major league manager.
Festival activities will include game stations, featuring hockey, kick boxing, rock climbing, basketball, slides and obstacle courses. Also on tap are food, raffles and appearances by teen twin actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Radio Disney and others.
The event is free. The campus is at 60 W. Olsen Road. For more information call 493-3151.
