Mortgage Rates Fall Again This Week

The average interest rate on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages fell to 6.89%, down from 6.92% last week, Freddie Mac said. Fifteen-year mortgages, a popular option for refinancing, dipped to 6.44% this week, compared with 6.47% the previous week.
On one-year adjustable-rate mortgages, lenders were asking an average initial rate of 5.64%, down from 5.67% the previous week.
